Apply Today! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Group Director of Regulatory and Safety is responsible for the development, educational content, implementation strategy, standardization, and oversight of the FacilitiGroup Divisional Regulatory and Safety Management Program across all hospitals and associated FSEDs, as well as FMS shared service programs related to PPE and safety standards. The primary emphasis will be on program development, standardization, and education to foster a comprehensive culture of survey readiness within the enterprise. In this role, the Director of Regulatory and Safety will review and audit comprehensive site assessments conducted by the Directors of Divisional Safety to ensure compliance with code requirements and adherence to standards set by the Joint Commission, OSHA, Federal EPA, State Health Agencies, and other pertinent authorities. The Director will collaborate with division and facility leadership, Emergency Operations Center teams, Division Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety (DVPQ), corporate CSRE department and division facility management services. Additionally, the Director will provide strategic direction and effective management of compliance activities aimed at improvement through the establishment of best practices and streamlined reporting and response processes. The Director is also responsible for ensuring that relevant regulatory activities are accurately developed and tracked in HCA Healthcare’s compliance platform Complyos and Engineering Central, while also educating pertinent teams on updates to systems and compliance code standards. **What you will do in this role:** + Develop, Implement, evaluate and monitor division-wide the standardized regulatory and safety management programs + Provide oversight to ensure FMS programs comply with the Joint Commission, CMS, Federal EPA, OSHA, state agency, and other AHJ standards + Assess and critique compliance reports for all facilities for establishment of best practices + Review and suggest standardized safety policies and procedures to be implemented at the facilities + Streamline reporting and response processes related to safety and regulatory standards + Establish standard structure for response of findings from internal and external governing bodies + Develop a standardized EOC committee meeting structure for all facilities in the enterprise + Implement the standardize compliance activity education and processes for regulatory and safety for facility management teams for continual survey readiness + Action plan collaborations based on survey or site visit findings, with appropriate teams per program parameters + Ensure a standardized approach to all remediation plans and all action items to be completed + Review internal survey results from CSRE, identify areas of improvement and trending for program development, and collaborate action plan development with DSO teams + Collaborate with DDFM teams to communicate reports for their specific areas related to regulatory and safety purposes. + Track survey readiness for all hospital businesslike locations in the enterprise service groups. + Review HCA Healthcare’s compliance platform database to ensure requirements have been reviewed and updated to the most current standard verbiage and guidance. + Educate and assist Divisional Safety Officers on technology platform processes and updates related to regulatory compliance to ensure understanding and expectations + Ensure all changes as a result of new construction, renovations, acquisitions and divestitures are properly tracked and communicated to the appropriate DSO teams + Standardize all ILSM, ICRA, PCRA and other construction documentation practices + Develop continuing education plan to keep facility staff up-do-date on code requirements + Function as the subject matter expert to Corporate Leadership, Division Leadership, Hospital executive teams and DFMs for all regulations related to the Environment of care and Life Safety chapters. + Trend citations for each facility to assess education gaps for facility teams; Conduct education activities based on assessment + Collaborate with CSRE department to develop education gaps identified by citation trends + Performs other duties as assigned. + Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission and Value Statement.” **What qualifications you will need:** + Bachelor’s Degree, required + 5 years of experience in hospital regulatory compliance required + NFPA Certified Life Safety Specialist (CLSS-HC), preferred In today's challenging business environment of cost pressures, supply disruptions, and workforce shortages, it is crucial for providers to efficiently manage expenses and enhance performance.
