THE ROLEWe are currently looking for a group financial accountant to join our Shoreditch head office. This role is an essential part of the finance team. You will be responsible for supporting and implementing the financial accounting and reporting agenda across our brand, globally.
You will be responsible for preparing intercompany reconciliations across multiple companies and currencies, so experience with multiple subsidiaries and currencies will be key for this role. You will also be responsible for the provision of financial information, ensuring internal and external reporting is timely, accurate and compliant with IFRS.
You will report directly to the group finance manager and sit within the finance team.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?Reconciliation of all subsidiary prepared records to group management accounts including posting adjustments to reflect the transition from local GAAP to IFRSPrepare monthly consolidated accounts for the entire group, combining financial data for entities under AllSaintsCalculate and journal intercompany recharges, loans and interestReview bank reconciliations and treasury net debt calculationsPosting relevant journals for the monthly reportingAssist in the year end audit processEnsuring the group financial accounting policies are maintained and updated to reflect the accounting and reporting requirements across different jurisdictionsOwnership of all statutory reporting for international subsidiaries within the group including the preparation of any branch returns required by local tax authoritiesReconciling reserves (distributable and non-distributable) to ensure items are classified appropriatelyEnsure the business is provided with sound and clear technical accounting guidance (including written technical accounting papers) on any matter arising including the impact of changes to IFRS standards on the groupSupporting the roll out of a robust financial accounting and reporting control environment that adheres to the group policies and embeds best practice across the businessProviding support to the finance team THE ROLEQualified or partly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA)Strong knowledge of excelEye for detail and ability to identify errorsStrong knowledge of IFRSStrong background in completing and reviewing consolidationsProven experience of technical accounting, with proven capability to communicate financial reporting requirements to various stakeholdersDemonstrate being curious, inquisitive and robust with a drive to improve financial accounting discipline within a businessDesire to drive improvements in the end-to-end financial accounting and reporting processA collaborative team playerStrong communication skills both written and verbalAbility to work in a fast paced, commercially focused environment and able to adapt to change quicklyDisciplined approach to production and documentation of workPrior retail experience is advantageous ABOUT THE LOCATIONBased in our East London Studios in vibrant Shoreditch with perks and benefits offered from local businesses including discounts on food, shopping and health & beauty.
