About the FunctionThe Group Financial Planning and Analysis Team is at the heart of the analysis that goes to the Exec, and connected to a variety of stakeholders, including regions, strategy, and various teams across finance.
Group FP&A supports development of Diageo’s multi-year strategic plan and leads the annual financial planning process. It leads holistic performance management by proactively delivering quality insights and analysis that support decisions to enable delivery of Diageo’s annual targets (Financial, Market Share and ESG) and external commitments.
About the RoleTop Accountabilities
Proactively provide high quality monthly insights and analysis on drivers of Diageo’s holistic performance (Financials such as NSV, Margin and Mix, as well as market share & ESG) to Diageo’s Exec and Board, with recommendations on actions / interventions needed to deliver against targets
Establish a forward looking and disciplined FP&A rhythm with planning calendars communicated proactively to regions/markets, identifying opportunities to standardise and automate where appropriate
Decision Support on questions from the CFO/Exec/Chairman regarding financials, trends or scenarios as needed
Partner closely with Investor Relations / Controller’s team on preparation of analysis in January & July to support the external communication of drivers of H1 and FY performance.
Ensure appropriate control environment and controls are in place
About YouQualified accountant – at least 4-5 years PQE.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and focus on quality delivery
Self motivated and organised approach
Ability to achieve results by working with other teams around the world.
Demonstrated ability of building and sustaining close working relationships and influencing senior management.
Excellent business English
Good understanding of financial/management reporting PC skills / System knowledge: MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and group reporting and consolidation tool preferable but not essential (i.e. BFC)
