PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Richmond Distribution Supervisor, this lead will be responsible for the NO Traffic area.
This person will lead a team of 4 full-time associates and up to 10 part-time associates as needed to:
Safely, efficiently and accurately load and unload packaging, ingredients, supplies and Finished Goods.
Generate Bills of Lading for carriers
Seek out and drive opportunities to reduce costs and errors
Complete the required work within the budget
Improve performance against department metrics on this shift
Work with the other shift leads as they do the same on their shifts
Help lead 5S efforts in the department
Maintain accuracy of Yard Management System
The lead will be required to obtain a forklift license within 30 days, assist with truck loading/unloading, driving line, inspections, safety, computer data entry, various paperwork/reports, quality compliance, etc. Two years' experience preferred. Location will be primarily at the Richmond Warehouse.
COMPLEXITY AND SCOPE:
Understand, run, and troubleshoot the SAP Inventory and Warehouse Management system
Schedule associates to meet daily workload
Work with other shift leads and Distribution leadership to drive continuous improvement in the department
Develop, train to and implement processes to improve shift performance
Provide leadership and guidance on proper loading techniques, GMP's and safety
Responsible for controlling inventory and damage at Richmond Warehouses
Training of new associates and associates' annual training – also work with other leads and the training coordinator to update training materials
Develop and attain individual objectives
Work with associates to set Performance Objectives and provide mid-year and year end reviews
Work with little or no supervision and meet the daily load schedules
Responsible for overseeing the receiving of Raw Materials on the NO Shift
Assist with plant Forklift Licensing Program as required
Help drive JBS/Work Instruction program and keep them up-to-date
Conduct Daily DDS Meetings, coordinate and communicate workflow between shifts
Monitor and be responsible for CHEP pallet movements and maintain accurate inventory
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED
High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED):
High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment required. Bachelor's degree, is preferred
1 to 3 years previous supervisory experience is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Kronos processing software.
SAP Computer experience preferred

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $29.25.
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
