Position overview:
As a Group Lead Manufacturing Technician, you will provide the coordination for daily duties, work assignments to all team members, closely monitor the manufacturing progress, and provide support of assigned employees.
What your day will look like:
Define key production work steps, sequences, and durations, and establish work scope on a per-station or per-cell basis.Prepare standardized work instructions.Coordinate work schedules in alignment with operational goals.Implement manufacturing improvements, complex process changes, and technology updates.Provide critical process control guidance to production, maintenance, and quality control teams to enhance the dimensional accuracy and overall quality of our products.Read and interpret electrical schematic drawings.Ensure all safety measures are followed.What will make you successful:
2 Years’ experience in a Manufacturing EnvironmentExperience leading a diverse team in a production environmentDemonstrated a “hands-on” approach to problem-solving and implementing countermeasures within areas of responsibility.We would be impressed if you had:
3 + years of experience planning and supporting launch of new production lines in a low-speed production environment (e.g. rail, aviation/aerospace, naval, heavy equipment, etc.).Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering (Or Equivalent Experience)Work experience in the rail business, preferably in light rail, heavy rail, or related production, is needed. Knowledge of SAP or similar MRP / ERP systems is highly desired.Practical experience in Customer Service / Maintenance / After Market businesses and technologies within the rail industry Highly preferred.Additional Information:

This position is located in Sacramento, CA. The starting hourly rate for this position is $22.29/hr. (plus shift premium – 10% for 2nd shift, 20% for 3rd shift). The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
