To assist in the organizing and directing of warehouse or production workers in assigned area to provide exceptional customer service to all Stock Yards customers through on time trucks, and overall organization on production flow. Comply with all food safety, regulatory and quality programs within the assigned area of responsibility. Assist in other departments as decided by managers. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Provides backup assistant manager support, to include: 1. Develop and maintain an appropriate level of understanding of production and operations. Ensure that all work is performed with a consistent sense of urgency to meet customer requirements and in compliance with defined quality system in the assigned area. 2. Monitor the production and warehouse workforce to ensure work direction as required and to maximize production. 3. Provide training support (as directed by the production or warehouse supervisor) to all production staff. 4. Seek better operating methods to increase productivity and lower operating costs. 5. Maintain a clean and orderly cut shop and practice all safety procedures. 6. Portray the company in a good image at all times. 7. Develop and maintain an appropriate level of understanding of production or warehouse operations. 8. Work in harmony with fellow Associates and visitors to achieve an optimum level of production on a consistent basis. 9. Complete work forms and miscellaneous paperwork accurately and properly that is related to the movement of product and job standards, including signing all documents. 10. Ensure that work area is kept clean, organized and safe. 11. Participate in periodic staff meetings and other meetings as necessary. 12. Participate in and satisfactorily complete all training and development programs as required of the position.
