the function. Accountable for financial performance (measurement budget / tender vs. actual). Ensure and initiate steps to protect the company’s assets. Lead the development and maintenance of relationships with internal stakeholders by being the first point of contact for queries and needs, relating delivery requirements Manage internal and external stakeholder expectations on the delivery of logistic services by providing effective, open, swift communication and issue resolution. Use queries/ complaints to understand logistical problems, gather appropriate information, establish root causes and seek and propose solutions. Conduct regular visits to ensure smooth operations across the value chain. Lead and direct all staff within the function as well as any relevant stakeholders on projects and initiative. Ensure the creation of an environment where staff are developed, engaged and successfully retained. Ensure adherence to relevant compliance regulations and legislation i.e occupational health, safety and environmental compliance Ensure adherence to procedures pertaining to Loading and offloading procedures and Safety and security standards. Issuing new directives and changed procedures to ensure operational and process efficiencies and control are maintained.
