Group Manager, Referral Relations Ethos Veterinary Health

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

The Referral Relations Group Manager (RRGM) provides strategic support to guide local referral relations and referral management programs in assigned markets across the Ethos Veterinary Health network. The RRGM works at the intersection of business and medical operations in specialty and emergency veterinary medicine and utilizes a deep set of referral performance and market opportunity data to provide strategic recommendations to drive referral revenue and support hospital growth goals. In partnership with local hospital leaders, this position directly manages and leads local referral teams who work to actively drive patient referrals by identifying, cultivating, and maintaining positive relationships with general practice veterinarians and key decision-makers in the referring veterinary community.


This is a fully remote position that supports specialty and emergency veterinary referral teams in designated geographic areas across all North American time zones. Occasional U.S. travel is required for this position (up to 40%) and qualified candidates will be considered from all states.



REFERRAL ENGAGEMENT SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partners with field operations and hospital leadership to identify hospital growth goals and priorities and providesconsultative strategy support to local referral teams whodevelop outreach and engagement tactics to execute against these goals and drive hospital revenue. • Analyzes complex referral performance data to provide detailed analytics and reporting to support short- and long-term recommendations for improving referral management programs to capture additional referral opportunities in select markets.  • Provides strategic and tactical support for the localized development of continuing education (CE) and symposium events including accreditation, sponsorship, promotion, attendance management and ROI reporting. • Develops toolkits, best practices, SOPs and data guides to support effective referral management practices across the Ethos network. • Partners with the Ethos Field Marketing team to develop short- and long-term hospital marketing plans as it pertains to referring doctor/hospital engagement and communications. • Works with local referral teams and hospital leadership teams to develop and manage the annual referral engagement budget. • Works collaboratively with Ethos functional support teams to participate in special projects and assist with related strategic initiatives as assigned to support the growth of the greater organization.• Perform additional duties as needed to help drive the Ethosvision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organizational and team values.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT DUTIES:
The RRGM partners with local Hospital Directors in a dual reporting system to serve as the primary functional manager for 7-10 local referral team members in an assigned geographic region.

Achieves hospital referral objectives by managing the performance and productivity of local referral teams and provides corrective actions as necessary.Partners with local hospital leadership to establish strategic referral engagement goals and ensures their referral teams are on track to meet performance goals. Partners with Ethos Talent Attraction teams and hospital leaders to recruit new referral team members and manage the new hire process. Provides all onboarding, training, and ongoing assessments for referral team members.Works with hospital leaders to ensure that referral team members have the knowledge and resources needed to complete their work and drive hospital referral growth effectively.Completes regular team performance reports for hospital/field leaders and other senior-level management to track referral team progress and productivity. Partners with local hospital leaders to identify quarterly referral team performance goals and manages quarterly SIP tracking and payout.Motivates and empowers referral team members by providing regular feedback, annual performance reviews, and access to professional and skills development opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:


• A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. • 6+ years of professional experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully build relationships, manage multiple projects and priorities, effectively communicate across a diversity of roles and individuals, actively engage customers or clients, identify new business opportunities,and drive organizational growth. • Direct experience leading, managing, and mentoring individuals and teams.• Confident, articulate, succinct, and professional speaking skills and the ability to communicate effectively across a variety of channels (in-person, phone, email, virtual meeting, etc). • Professional experience in the veterinary or animal health industry is preferred, specifically specialty and emergency medicine. • Highly proficient technology and computer skills and the ability to read, interpret, and analyze complex performance metrics and use data to drive decision-making. • Professional agility and the ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic work environment with shifting priorities. • Ability and willingness to travel in-market for meetings with hospital leadership and for training local referral teams (up to 40% travel).

The base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$115,000. Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a periodic bonus.
