Integrated Products group in Product R&D has an immediate opening for an Engineering Manager. This group at Bengaluru is primarily responsible for developing semiconductor & transportation customer-oriented products like STS SW Bundle, ECU Test systems etc., ranging over different technologies like C#, Python, LabVIEW, TestStand and requiring the knowledge of various other NI software & hardware. Our group is responsible for exploring new and emerging application areas to help define future offerings, while collaborating with Sales, System Architects, Business Development Managers, and Manufacturing.
The NI ECU Test System (ECUTS) is a configurable, out-of-the-box functional test solution that combines NI software, hardware, and services to ensure our customers’ success. We are hiring an Engineering Manager for a newly formed team that would work on developing a scalable website for ECUTS and other future Transportation & Semiconductor Business unit products.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Mentoring and developing a team of engineers to meet project objectives effectively and efficiently. Helping them build expertise level skills. Encouraging the use of established methodologies in engineering processes, software development, and tools. Define project’s scope, schedule, and resources, achieving stated project goals on time and on budget. Facilitating Daily Scrum, Iteration & Cycle Planning, Retrospective & Backlog Grooming meetings. Monitoring project performance and health; managing project risks and raising issues to leadership Effectively communicating project plan & status to collaborators at all levels – from leadership to individual contributors – to keep them informed and engaged as necessary Building a pipeline of candidates and recruiting new team members. Owner or participant of team/organization’s initiative(s). Strengthens Employee Engagement through various initiatives. Responsible for assessing performance and compensation for their team members.Who You Are:
You are a leader who is self- driven, shows tremendous amount of initiative and gracefully handles ambiguity. You possess strong leadership and skills and have a consistent track record of developing and implementing strategies to achieve organizational objectives. For This Role, You Will Need: B.E/ B.Tech/ M.Tech/ MCA in Computer Science/ Electronics and Communications 6-8 years of industry experience. Entry level people management or team lead experience for at least 1 to 2 years. Demonstrated understanding with the following technologies: Hands on experience working with C#, .net framework, .net core, web technologies Object Oriented Programming Design Principles Software Architecture Agile project management Experience in leading the team to deliver project specs and deadlines. Clear and effective communication. Excels at conveying and presenting messages at the appropriate level of detail within a team/function/department. Strong sense of ownership. English Language competency & effective oral and written communication skills with a focus on listening and asking questions. Demonstrated adaptability in changing environments to strive to maintain a positive culture and work environment. Effective in collaborating beyond department boundaries. Experience in people management and relevant operational tasks, such as setting goals, effective in coaching/growing team members, fostering a conducive work environment, conducting job interviews, etc. Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Experience in programming using NI hardware, drivers, and application software such as TestStand, and LabVIEW. Prior experience developing applications for electrical vehicles and production test. Experience developing Test and Measurement applications/systems using LabVIEW, Python or TestStand.
