Job Description:

Funding and Money Market Middle Office is part of Capital Market Middle Office and partners with the Front Office and other areas within TD Securities to globally manage Funding and Intraday Liquidity needs for TD Bank.

We are a global team that is responsible for the cash management of TD Bank's external Trading accounts and for determining TD Securities Internal funding requirements and communicating these to the appropriate funding desks.

Funding and Money Market Middle Office team communicates daily with both internal and external business groups such as various front office partners, offshore offices, and externally with Correspondent banks to meet our Service Level Agreement. In addition, this group manages confirmations, settlements and trade support process for TD Securities' Money Market trading activities.

The team is heavily involved in strategic initiatives, business development, and process improvements to drive efficiency, improve client service levels and reduce risk.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Monitor service and control standards against overall business / department objectivesDevelop and maintain working relationships with internal partners for the purposes of delivering optimal customer service.Ensure appropriate reporting and escalation of issues occurs.Identify potential operating improvements, research and make necessary recommendations for changes Monitor and ensure the team adhere to procedures and guidelines thereby meeting internal and external requirementsProvide guidance and direction on complex issues to internal and external stakeholders, management teams, and keep senior management informed of significant issuesDirect, train and develop staff to enable them to meet challenges, department objectives and achieve full potentialManage the performance of the team ensuring staff have clear pre-set objectives and get regular feedback on their performance. Ensure performance appraisals are conducted in line with company policy and standardsProvide leadership, direction, advice and guidance to the team, thus maintaining high levels of integrity, motivation, morale, and encouraging teamwork and sharing of skills and knowledge.Promote a fair and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce and encourages the team to achieve common goals and objectives

Capability Requirements:Minimal 8 year of progressive experience in Capital Market Operations.Experience in Funding/Intraday Liquidity/Nostro account management.Knowledge of capital market products (operation) such as Fixed Income, Equity, Derivatives, Lending, Market Money and etc.Demonstrate strong people management and leadership skillsStrong project management skills and an ability to lead both individuals and cross functional teams.Strong partnership/consultant skills to add value and facilitate decision-making / consensus building. Ability to effectively communicate with technical and business areas at various levels. Be detailed oriented yet also have excellent conceptual ability to identify macro issues and have analytical and problem solving skills to determine appropriate steps for resolution. Proven ability to operationalize strategy and standards. Ability to manage deadlines, multiple tasks and adapt well to changing priorities. Must demonstrate leadership capabilities including the ability to influence, negotiate and make sound defendable recommendations in a timely and professional mannerMust possess superior multi-tasking skills and the ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment delivering accurate results on a timely basis

Education/Accreditation:

University degree in STEM or Quantitative filed of study.

Securities accreditation ie CFA/FRM is an asset.
