Group Operations Supervisor

This includes mentoring, and day to day support to achieve better than estimated productivity on assigned projects. + Provides input to operations regarding the technical and business considerations for construction or direct owner projects. This input could be associated with areas such as estimating, timing, special resource needs, or other aspects peculiar to specific projects. Completes labor staffing worksheets and coordinates with other GOSs, GOMs, Sales, or Operations Managers to ensure appropriate staffing levels for both overall headcount as well as anticipated skill sets. + Determines if customer expectations are similar to Climatec’s and if these can be achieved based upon Climatec’s estimate or contractual scope. Provides feedback on this as appropriate internally and externally + Oversees material needs and timing to maximize cash flow and material efficiency + Manages assigned Installation Specialists or Field Mechanics in coordination with outside contractors to achieve the best cash flow and installation productivity on assigned projects Completes the monthly documentation to manage ongoing project or employee issues as they appear + Recommends technical solutions to sales and operations + Identifies change order opportunities and coordinates with project manager to document, pursue, and book them + Provide support to Climatec and other contractors to solve building operating issues that go beyond the controls or special systems operation + Communicate with internal employees as required to ensure Climatec labor is accurate and timely and estimated productivity is achieved in all areas + Provide leadership and input to others as requested or required to assist in the accurate estimation, design, installation, start up, commissioning, and training for building systems Communicate with external organizations as required such as consulting engineers, building owners, and other contractors to ensure accurate and timely engineering + Works with direct reports to assist them in their development of personal goals. Reviews these goals with direct reports throughout the year + Ability to provide occasional support to installers on projects. + Other duties as assigned **Basic Qualifications** + Minimum of high school diploma. + 3+ years of experience in a technical, HVAC, or electronics-related role. + 4+ years Commercial Electrical Installation experience and conduit experience. + Proficiency in basic computer operating systems. + Experience with electronic equipment such as volt meters, amp meters, and oscilloscopes. + Ability to troubleshoot basic electric and electronic circuitry, including reading and interpreting electrical and electronic diagrams. + Working understanding of AC power circuitry, including breakers and multi-phase power (120VAC and greater). + Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to understand and address issues empathetically to achieve successful outcomes for customers and employees. + Must successfully pass a background check. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Two-year technical degree in HVAC or Electronics-related studies. + Undergraduate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Construction Management, or related fields. + 4+ years of experience in HVAC, electronics, or controls. + 5+ years Commercial Electrical Installation experience and conduit experience. + Some experience with programming. + Thorough understanding of HVAC operations within a facility or familiarity with NFPA codes and fire/life safety codes if working in the Special Systems division. + Ability to configure and debug basic computer problems. + Understanding of Climatec’s leadership culture and values. + Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop assigned employees, ensuring their success. **Essential Job Functions:** + Be able to lift and carry ladders, drawings, personal computers, material, etc. + Be able to lift up to 50lbs. + Be able to spend significant time standing and walking on construction sites. + Be able to climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout a typical day on a construction site. + Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec’s vehicle policy, allows the individual to drive on company business. + Be physically able to kneel, stoop and crawl. **Employee Benefits:** + Medical + Dental + Vision + Flexible Spending Accounts + 401K w/ company match + Life/AD&D/LTD + Paid Vacation/Sick/Holidays + Employee Assistance Program + Pet Insurance **Application Process:** Please submit your resume along with a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and how you meet the qualifications outlined above.
