Basic Job Functions: A commitment to the continued growth of Buildings Group's (BG) business health and profitability.  Leadership in the product group to develop products and services of the future.  Innovation with a focus on builder and market needs for new products and services.  Investigate state of the art software platforms that BG can deploy to our builder network that will differentiate Nucor from market competition.  Investigate, develop, and launch new building components that serve the needs of our customers and differentiate Nucor as a product supplier.  Establish process and relationships with all Nucor product groups to allow BG to supply a full offering of Nucor products to our builders; with an emphasis to make BG easy to do business with and to increase all Nucor product volumes.  Source and oversee software and other development contractors used for product, software, and service development.  Work with other Nucor product groups to improve our collaboration and develop processes that make our businesses seamless to work together.  Provide routine updates to teammates and customers on development.  Establish, maintain, and publish metrics to measure the team's performance towards Nucor's goal.  Work closely with the Reliability Manager and the Reliability team to ensure a smooth transition from new to existing products/services.  Travel with short notice.  Review teammate performance to identify coaching needs and set expectations through growth & development sessions.  Create a culture on inclusivity where teammates develop for roles of greater responsibility while fostering innovation and results.  Responsible for determining staff and contractor needs which include interviewing, hiring, and accountability for the department.  Other responsibilities as assigned by the Buildings Group/Panel Group General Manager Team and the President.  Minimum Qualifications:

3 years prior leadership experience including overseeing direct reports. 

3 years of metal building experience or formal education in either software development or engineering.

Experience with Microsoft Office.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
