Who You Are

The Group Product Manager (GPM) for Internal Tools and Operations at Justworks will oversee the product vision and strategy for our tooling and systems used by internal customer stakeholders (including Customer Success and Support, Sales, and Finance). This job requires some technical background and experience with internal tooling or platform products, as well as a passion for mentoring and growing teams. The product you will be a part of is responsible for accelerating the growth of one of our strategic investments to create a first in class service experience for our customers.

As a strategic leader, you will define the vision and roadmap for a cluster of teams, bridging company mission and goals to develop a business rooted and user-centric roadmap. As a people leader, you will mentor other Product Managers and motivate your teams around a true north. As an executional leader, you will be accountable for the delivery of your team’s roadmap, with a bias toward short, iterative cycles of learning and value creation.

About the Team

The Internal Tools and Operations team’s mission is to create technology that makes the operations and servicing of our product more intuitive and useful for our internal teams, and ultimately more impactful on the level of care and support our customers will experience at Justworks. 

Your Success Profile What You Will Work On Drive product development for the next generation of internal tooling technologies at Justworks to empower our internal customers Execute and contribute to a product vision and strategy with key internal stakeholders that enables our customer-facing and operational teams to provide best in class service and product experience Work with experience design and internal stakeholders to define strategic and insightful solutions that support the highest value internal customer needs, and communicate resulting priorities  Gather requirements from internal and external stakeholders and available data - including Voice of Customer data, external market data, and existing Justworks data Manage metrics and goals around feature launches, measuring impact on our services and operations post-launch and continually iterating Develop a rigorous, data-driven product culture across a growing team, ensuring that craft is balanced with customer obsession and business orientation Help craft the product management team and processes as we grow, providing guidance and mentorship to product managers Work with partners in engineering and design to prioritize, schedule and execute projects so we can quickly develop and ship new features Perform other related duties as assigned How You Will Do Your Work

As a Group Product Manager for Internal Tools and Operations, how results are achieved is paramount for your success and ultimately result in our success as an organization. You’re honest and forthright, have a strong moral compass, and strive to match your words with your actions while leading by example.  Simplicity - Be like Einstein: “Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler.” Qualifications Minimum 7+ years of experience in a customer-facing product management capacity at a technology-driven organization  Experience on products for internal customers, not limited to operational tooling, customer support, sales users, or engineering platforms Minimum 3+ years of experience managing Product Managers Demonstrated track record of building and shipping successful products in an agile environment with demonstrated impact Experience owning complex products with large surface areas and lived experience making difficult prioritization and investment decisions Ability to learn the Justworks domains quickly (benefits, payments, health insurance, HR, etc) Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to grasp and explain complex concepts to stakeholders inside and outside of technology Basic understanding of core web development technologies. i.e., data structures, data stores, algorithms, distributed systems, and common patterns around these frameworks. Understanding of SaaS SMB products

 

The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $210,000.00 to $252,000.00 per year.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location.  Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
