About the opportunity

The Out of Home (OOH) strategy is a key enabler of this mission, redefining parcel lodgements, delivery and returns with innovative solutions such as parcel lockers, hubs, and other self-service options.

The Lead Product Manager OOH is accountable for representing the voice of the customer by identifying and sizing opportunities, leveraging customer insights, and working with cross-functional teams to deliver OOH products that align with Australia Post’s strategic objectives. This role is critical in driving the vision for the OOH Collect & Return product portfolio, ensuring that customer desirability, operational feasibility, and financial viability are central to decision-making.

What you’ll deliver with us  

The Lead Product Manager will assimilate and synthesise vast amounts of information—from customer feedback, operational data, and market trends to competitive benchmarks and strategic insights—to prioritise initiatives that meet customer needs while achieving business goals. They will champion a customer-first approach and foster a culture of data-driven and innovative product management.

In the OOH space, success goes beyond what is built—it’s about what customers adopt. The Lead Product Manager (OOH) will own the adoption journey, ensuring products deliver real value, drive engagement, and meet user needs effectively. By connecting the dots between technology, operations, marketing, and customer experience, this role will enable Australia Post to set the standard for sustainable and accessible delivery solutions.

You’ll also   

Develop and communicate the product vision and roadmap for the OOH Collect & Return portfolio, illustrating how features and value drops are planned to be implemented over time.Drive the delivery pipeline to align with the OOH product roadmap and overall business priorities.Display advanced structured problem-solving skills, including hypothesis-driven approaches and the ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity.Manage a continuous improvement schedule for OOH products, ensuring they remain competitive and customer-centric.Deeply understand customer needs and how OOH solutions satisfy those needs, prioritising and communicating requirements effectively.Serve as the segment champion for OOH Collect & Return products, influencing cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment across the business.Identify opportunities to enhance or extend OOH solutions with innovative and market-disruptive approaches.Track, measure, and share global best practices in OOH delivery and customer experiences, applying these insights to the product portfolio.  Practice clear, top-down communication techniques in writing and speaking, setting an example of professionalism and a visionary mindset.Lead discovery sessions, stand-ups, iteration planning meetings, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies to inspect and adapt workstreams.Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, operations, marketing, and external vendors, fostering alignment and engagement.Represent the OOH customer voice by engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure solutions deliver expected ROI and customer satisfaction.Facilitate workshops and ideation sessions to ensure collaboration across Proposition, Ecosystem, and Experience teams..Identify and action ways to improve customer experiences in Collect & Return solutions, ensuring accessibility, convenience, and sustainability.Model customer-centric behaviours, embedding best practices across the product development lifecycle.Maintain a pulse on the market and competitor activity in the OOH space, ensuring Australia Post remains at the forefront of innovation.Explore future trends in logistics, customer delivery, and technology to shape the OOH roadmap.

About you  

You will have extensive experience in product management, with a proven track record of delivering successful customer centric solutions in logistics, eCommerce or technology driven complex industries is desirable. 

You’ll also need   

Experience managing complex project portfolios with multiple stakheolders, dependencies and timelines. Experience working in customer delivery ecosystems including OOH solutions such as parcel lockers, self service hubs and reverse logistics programs.A deep understanding of the out of home delivery landscape including parcel locker technologies, customer expectations and competitive market dynamics. Proven ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across diverse teams including engineering, marketing, operations and retail.
