Equitable is looking for an Actuary to support Pricing for our Group Retirement products. In this role, you will support new business efforts and sales goals for implementation support including inforce and exception pricing. You will partner with cross functional teams including Distribution, Finance, Risk, Legal, Marketing, and IT and share data and recommendations to the team.
Key Job Responsibilities
Manage inforce, case specific, exception pricing, and product conversions to balance customer needs and competitive sale situations, while meeting company profitability goals.Get a deeper understanding of all financial metrics impacting our business and provide analytics on inforce initiativesProvide leadership within the Group Retirement area and with other areas around the companyPricing and product development of annuity products, mainly the group and employer sponsored product lines such as Equivest, Retirement Gateway, Associations Businesses, and Equitable Retirement Vision.Assumption setting, experience analysis, profitability analysis, analysis of hedging implications, results reporting, risk packs and pricing memos, product filing. Pricing and review of special requests, exceptions, and product conversions for increased sales and inforce retention. Point person and direct contact with sales desks and distribution teams.Working with other areas of the company on product design, including Product teams within Retirement Savings, Product Implementation, Filing, Legal, Systems/IT.Working with the Central Modeling Team and Risk Management – VNB Reporting areas on pricing results and assumption setting.Providing actuarial support to other areas including actuarial filing materials, system specifications, illustrations and marketing materials.
The base salary range for this position is $83,000 - $110,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.
