Job Description
Group Sales Manager
Through your passion and motivation, you sell memorable experience to guests who stay in your property. You are professional and knowledgeable about your property, and you build strong relationships and create bond with your guests.
What’s in it for you:
Rate of Pay: $74,000-82,000 plus bonus
What you will be doing:
Consistently offer professional, engaging and proactive guest service while supporting fellow ColleaguesSupport ALL – Accor Live Limitless loyalty program and ALL Meeting Planner loyalty program through product knowledge and member enrollments;Identify and execute key action steps each quarter that will achieve booking goalsWork directly with the Director of Sales and the Director of Revenue Management to meet and exceed budgeted group room ratesActively target and solicit new business within the territory assignedStay familiar with industry trends via appropriate publications/trade memberships if necessaryAble to think strategically and maximize our group potential over required periods to include use of meeting space for meetings and events. Arrival and departure patterns that fit with the hotel business needsFollow up on leads in a timely and professional manner within the respective territory both by telephone and by written correspondenceFully qualify each Group business opportunity to understand the full potential of the booking and accountDevelop and maintain close and effective working relationships with all supporting departmentsCoordinate with conventions services on groups involving rooms and banquet revenue; adhering to all Fairmont Brand sales standards by providing accurate, comprehensive turnover reportsParticipation required at Fairmont sales training workshops as applicable and achieving acceptable shop scores per the company standardParticipate in all assigned Fairmont Brand sales events and trade shows, involves preparation of events, invitation of clients and facilitating of eventOvernight travel which may include weekends to conduct ongoing sales calls to clients in your territory
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
Previous experience in luxury hospitality sales strongly preferredStrong prospecting and contract negotiation skills.A passion for guest service and excellence.Excellent interpersonal skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills including Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.Excellent presentation skillsHighly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure.Four-year degree from an accredited college or university, preferably hospitality relatedAdditional Information
