The Security manager position plans, directs and coordinates activities relating to the protection, safeguarding and security of company assets, employees, invitees and others. The role also ensures that established goals and objectives are accomplished with prescribed priorities, time limitations and with fiscal responsibilities. This role also advises management by making security recommendations, assists in formulation of goals and objectives; designs, implements and monitors security policies, procedures and programs; complies with government, provincial and local legal regulations; and exercises independent judgment in the course of carrying out responsibilities and other activities as assigned.ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Function – 10+ yrs of experience in security domain managing security operations of large enterprise
Industry – Preferred FMCG experience, but not a must.

Minimum B Tech in Security

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Plans, examines, analyses, evaluates and supervises Tiger Brands security operations, inclusive of physical security assets and security personnel.
Evaluates current security procedures and practices of Tiger Brand’s current defined activities and functions relative to security.
Is responsible to manage the contractual relationship with Tiger Brands security contractors across all Tiger brands facilities.
Drives continuous improvements in the efficiency and cost for providing security services to Tiger brands
Develops and implements alternate methods for security operation improvement.
Provides coaching and professional development to the site Safety and Environmental Managers
Prepares periodic budget estimate and reports.
Reviews financial reports to ensure security operation efficiency and quality control.
Develops preventative security programs, including the supervision of security personnel.
Performs audits of security related performance and conducts physical surveys of premise security, including security equipment condition.
