These employees operate trains, maintain railcars, assist customers in stations, make critical right-of-way or electronic repairs, and provide administrative support to deliver timely and reliable customer services. Compensation Salary Range (Grade F/ 516 points): $82,381- $130,216 UTLO Compression Rate: $128,005 Responsibilities The Department of Subways is seeking dynamic, customer-focused leaders for the role of Group Station Superintendent, OCC. The OCC Group Station Superintendent will have front-line, direct accountability for the efficient, timely and customer-focused execution of functions related to incident management; reporting and dispatching of emergency responders; collaborating with and leading a dynamic team while monitoring metrics to ensure unit’s goals are met. The Group Station Superintendent, OCC will assign and direct staff responsible for receiving calls from internal and external customers while assessing and documenting information for reported incidents, dispatching appropriate responders, and performing data entry. The Group Station Superintendent, OCC will operate in compliance with NYCT rules, regulations, labor relations, and personnel policies. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and five (5) years of full-time related experience; of which two (2) years must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity; or a satisfactory combination of education and experience. Desired Skills + Knowledge of the environment, organization and operation of rail transportation systems and station operations. + Knowledge of automated fare collection, construction trades and ADA regulations. + Knowledge of principles, policies, and procedures where safety is a key component, including OSHA regulations. + Knowledgeable in monitoring call center key performance indicators (KPIs) while analyzing trends to make data-driven decisions. + Proactive listener with effective written and verbal skills to facilitate communication with employees at all levels in the organization. + Ability to effectively manage a group of employees in a fast paced and highly customer focused environment while making quick decisions + Ability to lead with emotional intelligence; exhibiting a calm demeanor and professionalism to boost employee and customer service satisfaction. + Effectively and proactively address conflicts to foster a collaborative and cohesive team. Selection Method Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience and interview. All appointments, except for the Department of Subways employees on MaBSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
