Our CS EUV Global Support Center (GSC) ensures advanced remote technical support from 3 different continents (Europe, Asia, and North America) collaborating with the worldwide ASML teams at ASML’s customer sites. The technical issues encountered on ASML’s machines are highly complex: collaboration by GSC engineers in cross-functional engineering teams is key to get to a clear diagnosis of hardware, software or performance issues. After diagnosis, GSC is responsible to create technical action plans to repair and recover the system. GSC may also travel onsite to help the local ASML teams handle issues locally. Each of the incidents seen at customer site are analyzed and documented to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Role and ResponsibilitiesRole
As a Global Support Center EUV Sources performance Engineer, you will focus on Improving source performance to provide optimum overall system output.
You will diagnose and prevent EUV instabilities and improve source hygiene to reduce contamination risks for these, understand underlying control architecture is required. As a Global Support Engineer EUV for a specific technical competence, you are the remote diagnostic expert for technical issues that occur on ASML’s machines at worldwide customers. As engineer you are responsible to troubleshoot & resolve issues related to equipment and performance problems in various technical competencies. Next to that identify structural solutions to prevent issues from happening or being escalated to GSC again. And share lessons learned with the local teams. You make use of advanced diagnostic tooling to troubleshoot hardware, software or system performance issues
Responsibilities
Solving complex technical problems by remotely analyzing data, creating deterministic forward looking action plans, managing escalations, and delivering on-site support when requested at customer sites.
Being part of the New Product Introduction process to gain the required skills and knowledge to independently support field escalations of new products.
Prevent future escalations by using ASML internal processes to determine the correct structural resolution. This includes engineering design changes, updates to the product service mix, and closing local team training gaps.
Sharing knowledge and expertise amongst colleagues within the GSC and with local engineers to increase the efficiency of our customer service. You mentor trainees, deliver feedback on potential improvements and identify learning by use of the Incident Repeat Prevention process.
Finally, share the lessons learned within the organization.
Education and experienceEducation
BA, Master or PhD degree in technical sciences (Physics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Process technology, Aerospace Engineering) or equivalent experience is preferred.
Experience
2+ years of working experience in the semiconductor industry or a similar high-tech service environment;
· Experience with troubleshooting & solving issues related to equipment;
· Experience solving complex technical problems, analyzing data and creating forward looking action plans.
· ASML experience preferred

Other informationLocation
This position is located on-site in Hwaseong, South Korea. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation. A flexible workplace arrangement may be available to employees working in roles conducive to remote work (up to two days a week).
The position will include occasional domestic or international travel (up to 30% of the time).
