Job Title: GSE Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled GSE Mechanic with over 2 years of experience in mechanical testing and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading schematics, performing electrical testing and troubleshooting, and possess their own set of basic tools. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance repairs on Ground Support Equipment (GSE) such as baggage carts and deicing equipment.

ResponsibilitiesPerform light and heavy repairs on GSE equipmentDiagnose engine mechanical issues and repair (Diesel, gas, and LP)Troubleshoot A/C and D/C electrical systemsRead and interpret electrical schematicsUnderstand and work with Generators 400 Hz and 28 VoltTroubleshoot and repair hydraulic systemsRead and interpret hydraulic flow schematicsUtilize computer software to diagnose Powertrain Management SystemsRepair 80 and 48 volt DC systemsTroubleshoot and repair systemsReceive ongoing training to gain knowledge of the equipmentMaintain the required level of productivityAccurately complete vehicle repair orders in a timely mannerEssential Skills2+ years experience performing automotive, diesel, or electrical workAbility to read schematicsAbility to perform electrical testing and troubleshootingOwn set of basic toolsValid Driver's LicenseGood oral and written communication skillsVocational training certificate or equivalent work experienceAbility to lift up to 25 lbsCapability to attain Airport issued ID badgeAdditional Skills & QualificationsPrevious GSE experience preferredStrong knowledge of gas and diesel engines (3 years preferred)Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work site is located in a covered and heated hangar, ensuring comfortable conditions during winter. In the summer, large fans keep the environment cool. We also have an off-site location for larger projects such as full vehicle overhauls, offering a similar work environment as the hangar.


Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
