**Job Title: GSE Technician** **Job Description** We are looking to add GSE Technicians to our team. Candidates must have a basic set of hand tools and will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on a variety of ground support equipment, including tugs, pushbacks, belts, and more. Most of the work involves preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes and brake jobs. The equipment fleet is aging, so there will be an increasing amount of work on breakdowns as well. **Responsibilities** + Perform basic maintenance assignments involving automotive, electrical, systems, and other related trade skills. + Take direction from and seek guidance and expertise from experienced mechanics. + Accept training and mentoring from experienced mechanics. + Read and interpret repair manuals, basic electrical and hydraulic schematics, and instructions from supervisors/managers. **Essential Skills** + Automotive mechanic experience + Heavy equipment experience + Proficiency with hand tools + Diesel engine maintenance experience + Preventive maintenance experience + Hydraulic system experience + Engine diagnostics and maintenance + Troubleshooting skills + Tire technician skills **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 2+ years of experience as a mechanic (diesel, auto, hydraulics) + Experience with diagnostics, troubleshooting, engine, and brake changes + High school diploma or GED + Clean driving record + Must provide own tools + Flexibility with schedule/shift **Why Work Here?** Our company provides uniforms and offers an annual allowance for work boots and covers prescription work glasses. A SIDA badge is required, and technicians will be driving on the tarmac. Expect to work 8-10 hours of overtime per week, especially in the fall/winter. Tools are required (a list is available), and you must be open to working holidays, although usually only a few volunteers are needed. The shift is Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 AM to 6:30 PM. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dulles, Virginia. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
