**Job Title: GSE Technician** **Job Description** We are looking to add four GSE Technicians to our team. As a GSE Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on a variety of ground support equipment, including tugs, pushbacks, belts, and more. Your work will primarily focus on preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes and brake jobs, as well as addressing breakdowns on an aging fleet. You will also be involved in basic maintenance assignments related to automotive, electrical, and systems trade skill sets. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of ground support equipment, including tugs, pushbacks, and belts. + Execute basic maintenance assignments involving automotive, electrical, and other related trade skill sets. + Take direction and seek guidance from Expert-level mechanics and accept training and mentoring from them. + Read and interpret repair manuals, basic electrical and hydraulic schematics, and supervisor/manager’s instructions. + Perform oil changes, brake jobs, and other routine maintenance tasks. + Address breakdowns and ensure equipment is in proper working condition. **Essential Skills** + Experience as an automotive mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic. + Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and engine diagnostics. + Experience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting. + Ability to use hand tools and perform tire technician tasks. + 2+ years of experience as a mechanic (diesel, auto, hydraulics). + High school diploma or GED. + Clean driving record. + Must provide own basic set of hand tools. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Flexible on schedule and shift. + Ability to work holidays, although usually only a couple of volunteers are needed. + Uniform provided. + $85 a year for work boots and coverage for prescription work glasses. **Why Work Here?** Join our team and work at Dulles airport on all of the ground support equipment. A SIDA badge is required as you will be driving on the tarmac. Expect to work 8-10 hours a week, with more hours common in the fall and winter. The shift is from Tuesday to Saturday, 10 AM to 6:30 PM. Tools are required, and we have a list available. Be prepared to work holidays as needed, with only a few volunteers typically required. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dulles, Virginia. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
