Create access badges and processes status changes in the security system to ensure a safe and secure campus; quickly interprets facts and responds accordingly to threats and emergency situations both in person and virtually at satellite locations
Monitor a variety of systems to include card access, intercoms, computers, and close-circuit televisions used for security and safety purposes
Use training and experiences, prioritizes alarm conditions and phone calls
Utilize complex technology including video management, database manipulation, and information analysis; analyze information and then respond accordingly to any situation or task other resources, or as a member of a mass responding group
Analyze information to determine best course of action which includes, but not limited to data base searches, conducting telephone investigations, or gathering facts from individual sources or organizations
Dispatch first responders to medical events and other emergencies
Interface with employees at all levels of the organization; interacts with stakeholders on the phone and provides exceptional customer service
Lead special projects, investigations, and protection detail; protection architecture analyses duties and program development such as policies, procedures, and operational enhancements to the Security Operation Center
Create security/safety incident reports as needed
Register and issue badges and keys to contingent workers
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Two to four years of security related experience
Substantial knowledge of electronic monitoring systems or equivalent technical knowledge
Experience working with the public
Experience using computer systems in a work environment. Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel are required
Ability to read and interpret security & safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Valid California driver’s license with clean driving record (DMV report required)
Ability to successfully complete annual CPR and fire extinguisher training
All security employees must be willing to work any shift or any post as required by the Department Manager

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
