About the role:
An experienced Supplier Quality Project Manager with leadership skills to ensure the quality of our raw materials delivered by BC suppliers. This role involves managing projects related to supplier quality, implementing quality control measures, and collaboration with cross-functional teams (IM/MD, Regulatory Affairs, Local quality, R&D, Sourcing, Sustainability, HSE, etc). In this role, the project manager is responsible for coaching a quality project professional.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and manage global supplier quality projects (e.g., supplier specification rollouts, RM Next Level, RM shortage projects). Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, risks, tasks, timelines, and milestones. Ensure clear communication on project status, milestones, and deliverables through meetings and dashboards. Coordinate cross-functional teams (GSQ, IM/MD, R&D, Sourcing) to ensure project alignment and collaboration. Coach and mentor a quality project professional. Provide training and support to direct reports to enhance their skills and performance. Supplier Quality Assurance & Risk Management: Implement and maintain supplier quality assurance processes in line with BC standards. Identify and manage risks in supplier and raw material approval processes. Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies to address quality issues proactively. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier performance and overall quality. Analyze supplier performance using data tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, etc.). Implement corrective actions to improve quality and efficiency in the raw material/packaging supply chain. Ensure clear communication of project objectives, progress, and outcomes to internal teams and external suppliers. Act as the point of contact for resolving supplier quality issues, facilitating collaboration and timely solutions. Train internal stakeholders on quality standards and requirements. Support supplier development initiatives and ensure knowledge sharing through platforms like the Global Supplier Quality Website. Ensure quality-related documentation is maintained and accessible. Monitor compliance with regulatory, legal, and industry standard.
About you:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, or related fields. 2-3 years of experience in food science, chemistry, microbiology, or quality assurance. Experience in product development and strong knowledge of food application processes. Technical experience with processing lines for customer applications involving chocolate, compounds, and fillings. Project management experience is highly desirable. Proficient in MS Office Suite for reporting and presentation purposes. Familiarity with database management and data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker Studio). Strong problem-solving skills, with a solution-oriented approach. Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused mindset. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating collaboration and knowledge-sharing. Fluent in Business English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
