Job Title: Global Trade Operations Export Specialist

Location: Glenrothes (On-sire during training and then 1-2 days a week on site).

Summary of Role

Raytheon UK are seeking a Global Trade Operations Export Specialist who will be responsible for providing guidance to the business on export activities and assist in the management of all aspects of UK Export/Import and US regulatory requirements as they relate to Raytheon UK day-to-day shipping activities. This role will report into the Global Trade Export, Import and Compliance Team Leader.

Main Duties

Generating accurately all essential shipping and customs documentation to ensure compliance with United Kingdom Export/ Import regulations.To ensure compliance, as required, with United States and other countries Export/ Import regulations.To ensure all export/import transactions are completed in accordance with company policies and procedures.Act as point of contact for the business on all export/import shipping transactions.To actively build relations and interface with Raytheon UK Program Managers, Supply Chain Management, Commercial, Finance and Freight Forwarders.To undertake import checks for licensing approvals, customs requirements ensuring correct cost prices, commodity codes, delivery and payment terms are being used.To undertake the management and maintenance of all other document required to support the export of controlled goods, such as: End User Undertakings, F680’s, Consignee Undertakings, PV Grading’s and Security Aspect Letters, Security Transport Plans, Exhibition Clearances and Crown Exemption, as required.Ensure proper and accurate recordkeeping requirements are met in accordance with all export and import regulatory requirements. Handling and analysing customs declaration to ensure accuracy by the appointed freight forwarder and broker/agent.Arranging the transport arrangements by sea, air and road.Dealing with internal customer enquires relating to orders, shipments and deliveries.To assess and approve visitor clearances.Provide excellent customer service.Assist in monitoring government tared and industry developments.Assist in periodic trade compliance health checks/audits to verify internal controls and procedures are followed.Assist and support any internal and external government audits and inspection as required.Support and provides training to the wider GT team, as well as other business and functional areas.Provide coverage of other roles within the department during absences and busy periods.Support the Head of Global Trade Operations and GT EXIM Team Leader on specific projects as requested.Support global trade goals and objectives.Support the development and implementation of improved processes using Six Sigma and other lean tools. 


Candidate Requirements

Essential

Extensive knowledge of U.K. Export Licensing Regulations and shipping proceduresAwareness of the International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) regulations and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)Working knowledge or experience in shipping against Open General Export Licences (OGELs) and Standard Individual Export Licences (SIELs)Working knowledge or understanding of the UK Customs Import and Export systems and export licensing system.Working knowledge of commodity coding and tariff classification.Experienced in working with policies and procedures in a compliance driven environmentHigh level of speed and accuracy with excellent attention to detailGood computer skills and competent with Microsoft Word and ExcelExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsWell organised and multitaskingSelf-motivated, reliable, trustworthy and hardworkingWillingness and ability to learn quickly new skills and working practicesStrong team player
