Guard II (CCEP)

Working under the supervision of the CCEP Manager, the Guard II is responsible for patrolling the compound, monitoring surveillance systems, controlling access, identifying suspicious behavior and enforcing security policies. Responsibilities Major Responsibilities: + Primary duty will be internal physical security within the CCEP. + Maintain access control of the compound and within secure containers within the CCEP. + Responsible for verifying identification of visitors and employees, monitoring entry points, and denying access to unauthorized individuals. + Comply with DA Physical Security of AA&E, AR 190-11 and other DA Regulations. + Complete daily log of all activities utilizing DA Form 1594. + Maintain key control using DA Form 5513. + Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Activities: + Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. + Walking and standing for extended periods. + Maintaining focus during long periods of monitoring and patrolling. + The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. Working Environment: + Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. + There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. + The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. Material & Equipment Directly Used: + Desktop Computers, Multi-line Telephone, Two-Way Radio, Multi-Functional Devices, Material Handling Equipment (MHE), Banding equipment and related items. + Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as protective mask, safety vest, steel or composite shoes/boots, safety gloves, hard hat and eyewear in certain areas Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: + Highschool diploma or equivalent. + Must pass criminal background check. + Must be able to pass the standard background check. + Must be able to obtain and maintain a tier one level clearance (NAC-I). + Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. + Valid Driver’s License without restrictions. Experience/Skills: + Preferred experience - four (4) years knowledge of the Department of Army physical security regulations. + Possess high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism. + Ability to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and interact at all levels. + Ability to work independently or in a team-based, highly collaborative environment. + Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to interact at all levels. + Excellent observation skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. + Ability to notice details and identify potential security risks.
