Role Mission

The Gucci Finance Controller – Retail oversees the day-to-day activities of the retail finance team in order to ensure that company financial statements are accurate, organized and efficiently produced.

Key Accountabilities

Oversee the accounting and finance functions of the retail finance teamDevelop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to support retail business objectivesPrepare and review monthly P&L, balance sheets and cash flowEnsure that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintainedEstablish, monitor, and enforce policies, procedures, and internal controlsManage all external and internal auditsCommunicate with Worldwide (WW) headquarters on financial situation of companyMonitor and control all operational costs to ensure efficiency and profitabilityAchieve budget objectives by monitoring expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actionCollaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives

Key Requirements

BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA and/or CPA a plusMinimum of 5 years’ experience in financial management, preferably in retailStrong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsAdvance proficiency in excel and MS OfficeExperience with financial systems – SAP a plusAble to multitask in a fast paced, everchanging work environmentSupervise and provide leadership to the internal teamEffectively communicate with all levels of management within the region and with WWIn-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles and retail industry trendsAbility to breakdown complex accounting and finance issues to non-financial team members

Salary Range – New York City

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York City, GUCCI includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. In addition, where a candidate falls within the disclosed range estimate may be dependent on the applicable geographic differential associated with the location in which the position may be filled. 

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $115,000 - $130,000.
