POSITION: Guest Services Command Post OperatorDEPARTMENT: Guest ServicesREPORTS TO: Event Services (Command Post Administrator)FLSA STATUS: Hourly/Non-ExemptSummaryASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Command Post Operator for ASM Global New Orleans for the Superdome, Smoothie King Center and Champions Square facilities. Responsible for communication and direction of all personnel associated with specified department.Command Post Operator - Keys to SuccessThe key to being a great Command Post Operator is to be accessible and utilize trainings and best practices, as well as follow all facility rules and regulations and determine problems and address them efficiently and effectively as they develop. A great Operations Command Post Team Member is also proactive, engaged in his/her role and makes sure that any issues, concerns, complaints and other items are handled immediately.To provide the 'Best-in-Class' service to our patrons at all times by:Managing, resolving, and preventing problems efficientlyCommunicating effectivelyExceeding customer expectations in delivering a High-Quality ExperienceProviding a clean and safe environmentEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for providing leadership and guidance to all departments in Command Post, as well as taking direction from the Command Post Captain or Event Coordinator for designated events.Attends and actively participates in various mandatory trainings throughout each year.Develops institutional knowledge of facilities and ASM policies/procedures related to event activations.Follows all training, policy and procedure requirements from ASM Global leadership team.Checks command post assigned station and surrounding space carefully and thoroughly both at the start of your shift and the end of the event. Reports issues immediately to Event Coordinator or Command Post Captain.Engages and interacts with other command post operators and leadership team staff.Monitors all incident activites for assigned department via radio, phone or incident tracking system and providing efficient communications and resolutions.Dispatches all appropriate personnel for event incidents and being the central information point for all event information for an assigned department.Utilizes event task and checklists for each assigned event as appropriate.Communicates staffing adjustments/redeployments as appropriate in real time.Maintains an accurate and detailed log of events that occur pre-event, during event and post-event by using technology software.Periodically notify Event Coordinator, department Manager on Duty and/or Human Resources assigned command post operator regarding appropriate/specific incident types in real time.Communicates accurate and timely emergency protocols and procedures as needed and instructed for a given event.All other duties as assigned.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
