The Guest Services Receptionist: (a) screens/directs incoming phone calls to appropriate staff/departments, (b) greets and answers questions from clients, visitors and staff, (c) and completes daily and as-needed administrative tasks.

Primary Responsibilities
1) Screen and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate staff and departments, relaying verbal and written messages as needed.
2) Greet everyone that enters the facility including visitors, vendors, families, and staff.
3) Ensure safety by viewing camera monitors, watching for suspicious activity, responding to potentially dangerous situations (i.e. wandering program alert), and checking in on residents/tenants when appropriate.
4) Ensure documentation is maintained to comply with applicable policies and regulations; assist in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies as appropriate; update daily communication sheets depending on location.
5) Clean, organize and maintain the reception area.
6) Assist with other clerical duties such as photocopying and maintaining copier, laminating, filing, running reports, and typing documents as needed.
Job Specifications
Education, Experience and Certifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One or more years receptionist, customer service or administrative/office experience required, preferably in a long term care setting.
