Job Description

The Guest Service Representative position is responsible for interacting with guests to ensure a memorable experience throughout the ski area. This position may cover work areas such as base area, on-mountain and parking lots. This position reports to the Guest Services Manager.

Essential Job Functions 

Greet guests and maintain a friendly and helpful attitude dealing with guest needs Be able to answer questions, promote and offer information about the resort and surrounding area Set-up, operate, maintain and breakdown work area while ensuring a safe and neat environment Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of the outdoor areas for which the base operations department is responsible maintain a working knowledge of the resort's weather conditions, snow reports, base area locations, and special events Ensures everyone enters and exits the resort in an organized manner at the end of a long busy day Perform daily counts of parking lots and abandoned vehicles  Report complaints and guest concerns to supervisor in a timely manner Collect, handle and store ski/snowboard equipment Conduct market research surveys with on-site guests when necessary Other duties as assigned 

QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent preferred

Basic computer skills  Knowledge of guest service industry or ski resort industry  Ability to maintain a working knowledge of the resort's weather conditions, snow reports, base area locations, and special events Ability to be flexible with your schedule and be willing to work weekends, holidays, long hours Ability to handle and manage confidential information Ability to possess a professional appearance at all times Can handle fast paced, potentially high-pressure environment Excellent verbal communication skills 

Work Environment and physical demands 
Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time
Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
Must be able to frequently  lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
