We are seeking an emerging, or experienced, Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer to join our team in Grand Prairie, TX.

What You Will Be Doing

Chosen candidate will lead a team to perform:

-analysis of missile and fire control system performance against tactical and flight test targets for air and missile defense system program using a complex 6-DOF (Degree of Freedom) simulation;

-general mathematical modeling for 6-DOF missile simulations;

-development and maintenance of data reduction and presentation tools;

-reduction of simulation data and development of presentations used in internal and customer briefings.

Candidate should have working knowledge of higher order language, with FORTRAN and/or C programming experience a plus. Candidate must be organized, able to assimilate large amounts of data, be inquisitive and able to work through problems arising with simulation operation and data reduction. Candidate will support flight test and range safety analysis. They will help verify missile workflow through analysis of aerodynamic performance, mass, etc.

This role will require onsite support full-time at Lockheed Martin’s Missiles and Fire Control headquarters in Grand Prairie, TX working a 4/10 Flex schedule.

This position requires a current DoD Secret clearance, therefore, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

- Experience with Missile 6DOF simulation design and analysis

- Strong analytical and math skills specifically in the areas of controls

- Proficient in C++ and/or FORTRAN

- Experienced with MATLAB

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment

- Willingness to work onsite in a classified lab environment
Desired Skills:
-Experience with FORTRAN, Ada and/or Python

-Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) simulation experience

-Flight software integration and verification experience
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
