Job description
Infosys is seeking a Guidewire Developer in P&C domain (Personal and Commercial lines) to be part of our Insurance Practice (Domain Consulting Group). This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications :Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Markham/Mississauga, Ontario or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.Candidates authorized to work for any employer in Canada without employer-based visa sponsorship are welcome to apply. Infosys is unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this role at this time.Preferred QualificationAt least 4-8 Years’ experience in one or more of the following skills in P&C domain -Scrum/Agile experience in an Agile Team environment.Excellent understanding of how to operate in an Agile Team setting.Strong collaboration skillsApplied experience with large scale, complex IT projects Familiarity with multiple software development methodologiesExperience with Git repository and incident management tool (like ServiceNow)Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Visio, MS Project, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of SharePoint, and JIRA a plus. Demonstrated ability to understand and work across multiple business domains in support of projectsAbility to partner with development teams that support various technology platformsCandidates should have experience in Guidewire skill and should have worked in Maintenance and Support project in GW Billing Center in On-prem or Cloud/SaaS version. Experience in Guidewire Implementation Project is added advantageRole requires client co-ordination and deep functional or insurance (P&C) industry expertise especially on Personal and/or commercial lines. Experience in Support and incident management process in Guidewire BillingCenter and integration patterns is highly preferred. Candidates must have hands on experience in Guidewire projects in Personal Auto & Property, and Commercial Auto and Property LOBs.Candidates should have total 8+ years of experience and 4+ years of Guidewire experienceGuidewire Skills:Strong functional & Technical understanding of Guidewire BillingCenter (On-Prem or Cloud)Guidewire Experience with policy, claim life cycles and transactions in Guidewire is added advantage.Configuration Expertise: Hands-on experience with Guidewire BC configuration including: Workflows, Data Model, Rules, Events, Entity , Creation / Modification, PCFs customization, Validations, Widgets and their attributes, Integration Mechanisms, Guidewire Data ModelCustomization & Integration:Good knowledge of Guidewire BC customization and integration (Intra and Inter system integration) using REST and SOAP APIsSLA ManagementExperience in Incident and SLA management to support Production incidentsDeliver the output based on the defined project KPI/MetricsTechnical Skills:Experience with batch processes, Guidewire Messaging framework, and OOTB pluginsFamiliarity with Infra concepts and deployment architecture (WMB, WAS, and Apache)Strong knowledge on Software architecture and design in Guidewire EcosystemDatabase skills: Ability to write SQL queries for data analysis.GW Cloud/SaaS Offerings : Working Knowledge on GW Cloud/SaaS Offerings including GT Framework, Integration Gateway, Advance Product Designer (APD), Autopilot ,Underwriting Workbench and few othersProject Management/Soft Skills:Lead a GW technical TeamExperience in development, execution and monitoring of project plansExperience in optimizing existing project plans and deliver project goals on timeWorking experience in implementation & AMS programs Experience with defect triaging, estimation, stakeholder management, and application enhancements.Ability to lead Team and manage client stakeholdersExperience in customer-facing rolesExperience working on agile teamsKnowledge of code review best practice (tools and techniques)Exposure to cloud technologies a plusEffective verbal communication and interpersonal skillsEffective writing skills for drafting technical documentation and for explaining technical problems and solutions for both technical and non-technical audiencesThe job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.
