**94141BR** **Job Title:** H&S Manager **Department/Function:** Operations: Manufacturing, Production, Maintenance, Utilities **Job Description:** **Health & Safety Manager – Red Wing, MN** This is a full-time, exempt level position **Job Summary** The Health & Safety Manager will provide strategic leadership, direction, and guidance regarding H&S standards, systems, and permits within the Red Wing plant. Responsible for collaboration with a diverse group of plant personnel, oversight of the H&S performance and continuous improvement. Collaborate with location’s teams to meet legal and ADM expectations. Position reports to the Plant Manager. **Essential Job Functions** + Work closely with Plant Management to implement corporate H&S initiatives. Provide consistent H&S leadership, guidance, and mentoring + Effective implementation of standardized ADM H&S programs and systems to ensure compliance with company and local requirements + Develop and present H&S training for new hires and location colleagues as required + Support development of Safety KPI’s and report monthly on Safety related metrics + Work to continuously improve the H&S culture + Monitor, evaluate, and report H&S performance and suggest corrective and preventive actions to further improve performance + Build colleague commitment and enthusiasm for safety through collaborative leadership and influence + Lead and mentor incident investigations – ensuring mitigation of risk and prevention of reoccurrence + Enable hourly staff to identify potential hazards and mentor the completion of risk assessments + Manage all health & safety reporting requirements + Manage and maintain inventory of all radio, gas detectors, and safety-related PPE and order as needed + Manage annual respiratory and hearing testing for location colleagues + Ownership of internal and external H&S auditing + Act as a champion and mentor for colleague safety engagement prioritizing behavior based safety + Champion the ‘Safety Bucks’ engagement reward program + Manage and provide oversight for injured colleague cases + Manage and work to improve the site’s Sphera tracking system + Manage the site emergency response and asbestos management programs (Among others) + Strong aptitude for the Management of Change (MOC) process **Preferred Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s Degree: Preferably in Occupational Health & Safety or related field + 5 years’ experience in a health and safety position in an industrial plant setting Employees in this position may be exposed to various chemicals and food allergens due to the nature of our business and the requirements of the job. The position requires the ability to work in a variety of environments: office environment and varying indoor and outdoor environments to include extreme heat and cold.
