Position Summary 

A Night Auditor is responsible for balancing the revenue and expense transactions which occur each day at the hotel. The Night Auditor is also responsible for performing Guest Services Representative duties.

Responsibilities

•    Closing and balancing all room accounts
•    Counting and balancing cash and credit card receipts
•    Balancing direct bill accounts
•    Verifying and balancing vouchers
•    Running a trial balance report
•    Investigating or analyzing out-of-balance situations
•    Making adjustments or corrections to accounts as needed
•    Printing and distributing various computer audit reports
•    Completing required revenue and expense reports
•    Preparing guest folios for Express Check Out
•    Knowledge of and ability to perform all Guest Services Representative responsibilities
•    Knowledgeable of hotel fire and safety procedures; monitoring and maintaining property security.
•    Ability to open and stock daily breakfast as needed
•    Providing information to guests about hotel services, facilities, and other amenities
•    Responding to requests from guests for assistance and information about the local area (e.g. directions, places to eat, etc.)
•    Listening and responding to guests’ requests or complaints and communicated these requests and complaints to appropriate team members
•    Balancing shift work and cash drawers
Knowledge of and ability to perform shuttle/van driver responsibilities as needed

Requirements

•    Prior front desk and/or customer service experience is preferred
•    Customer-service oriented
•    Excellent interpersonal skills
•    Strong initiative and work ethic
•    Punctual , reliable, and regular attendance
•    Strong attention to detail
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•    Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
•    Strong analytical and problem solving skills
•    Knowledge of local geographic area, including businesses/services, attractions, and major roads/highways
•    Valid driver’s license and Department of Motor Vehicles Report (if applicable)
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet the required criteria for driving a company vehicle
