Hard Surface Restoration Laborer

Position Details

Our hard surface restoration crew will support and work hand in hand with our underground construction crews to restore/remove/replace damaged sidewalk panels, concrete driveways, asphalt roadways and other similar hard surface work in residential and commercial neighborhoods where the company does work. Tilson is seeking applicants who have skills in performing concrete laboring in flat work, asphalt repair and concrete restoration of sidewalks, curbs, and other similar structures. Preferred candidates will have experience in setting and stripping forms, mixing, pouring, and raking concrete, tying, and cutting rebar, hand finishing, cutting expansion joints, general laboring, and materials handling.

Responsibilities:

Performs hard surface restoration such as concrete and asphalt finishing work

Knowledge of hard surface demolition, repair, restoration, and replacement of hard surfaces such as sidewalk panels, roadways, etc.

Knowledge of multiple methods of concrete and asphalt repair and restoration work

Knowledge of mixing of concrete and concrete additives

Work with hot and cold mix asphalt

Work with slurry

Manage materials

Job planning

Maintain safety policies and procedures

Other duties may be assigned consistent with job description


Qualifications:

Experience with concrete restoration required

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

OSHA 10 preferred

Valid US Driver’s license

Able to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner

Must be able to wear and work in a 1/2 face respirator when necessary

Knowledge of hand tools such as sledgehammers, trowels, concrete saws, and jackhammers

Must be at least 21 years of age to meet Tilson’s driving eligibility requirements.

Tilson leads with integrity around pay transparency; as part of the compensation plan for this position you can expect a pay range of:

$18.00 - $26.00

The range above is associated with a tiered position.  Candidate offers will align with the relevant tier determined by their experience, education, and specialization, as assessed during the interview process.
