Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Hardscape Foreman to lead a crew in the installation of high-quality hardscaping projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the crew, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Foreman will act as the primary point of contact for crew members, ensuring safety, efficiency, and productivity on all job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Oversee and manage hardscape projects from start to finish, including paver patios, retaining walls, walkways, driveways, outdoor kitchens, water features, and other hardscape installations. Read and interpret blueprints, design plans, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of projects. Ensure that all projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Crew Supervision: Lead, train, and supervise a crew of laborers, ensuring that all members understand their tasks and responsibilities. Delegate tasks effectively and ensure that the crew works efficiently to meet project deadlines. Monitor the crew's work to ensure quality and adherence to company standards. Quality Control: Ensure that all hardscape installations meet high-quality standards and customer expectations. Address any issues or concerns on-site and make adjustments as needed. Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all crew members adhere to OSHA safety guidelines. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections on the job site to minimize accidents and injuries. Equipment & Material Management: Operate and maintain equipment such as skid steers, excavators, compactors, and saws. Coordinate the delivery and use of materials, ensuring that the right materials are on-site when needed. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safe operation. Communication & Reporting: Communicate project progress, challenges, and updates to the project manager or owner. Maintain accurate records of daily activities, material usage, and job site conditions. Serve as the primary point of contact with clients when on-site, ensuring professionalism and addressing any concerns.Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hardscape installation, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or foreman role. Strong knowledge of hardscape materials, techniques, and equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, design plans, and specifications. Proficient in operating heavy machinery such as skid steers, excavators, and compactors. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.Preferred Qualifications:
ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute) or NCMA (National Concrete Masonry Association) certification. Experience with landscape lighting, irrigation, or other related landscaping skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 4:00 PM, with occasional overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage or salary based on experience, with potential for bonuses based on project completion and performance.
