**Job Title: Hardscape Foreman** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Hardscape Foreman to supervise and lead a team of hardscape workers in the construction of patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other hardscape features. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of hardscape construction techniques, materials, and equipment, as well as excellent leadership and team management skills. This role requires effective communication and organizational abilities to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion. **Responsibilities** + Supervise and lead a team of hardscape workers in the construction of patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other hardscape features. + Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate project execution. + Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met. + Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. + Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies. + Train and mentor team members, providing guidance and support as needed. + Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in hardscape construction. + Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work. + Resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project. **Essential Skills** + 1+ years experience as a Hardscape Foreman or similar role in the landscaping or construction industry. + Strong knowledge of hardscape construction techniques, materials, and equipment. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications. + Excellent leadership and team management skills. + Strong organizational and time management abilities. + Effective communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. + Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. **Work Environment** You will be working on commercial job sites in all types of weather conditions, including hot, cold, and rainy environments. The company has a small, close-knit team of 12-14 employees, with crews of 2-4 depending on the project. The dress code includes steel-toe boots and pants. Work hours are typically from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, with summer hours from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm. You will start at the shop and head out to the job site from there. Personal hand tools such as bags, tape measures, and hammers are required.
