Job Summary

In our European Design Centers in Stuttgart, Timisoara and Budapest, our team creates technologies for the next-generation EV market. Our power electronics portfolio includes HV and 48V DC/DC converters, onboard chargers, HV traction inverters and battery management systems.

To support our core design team, we are currently looking for a

Hardware Architect – Power Electronics (m/f/d)

What a typical day looks like:

Provide technical expertise at least in one of the fields OBC, HV DCDC Converters and HV InvertersDefine the hardware architecture and product integration conceptDevelop hardware platform (circuit design, selection of power components and assembly technologies)Work with other engineering functions (e.g., software and systems department)Manage follow up of engineering details along project developmentMeet regularly with engineering peers at Flex’s customersProvide technical expertise in automotive electrificationDeliver presentations to internal teams to provide insight and technical supportDevelop patents/trade secrets to protect the Flex’s intellectual property


The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical EngineeringSelf-motivated, positive approach to problem-solvingMinimum 5 years in a similar positionExperience in design & assembly of high voltage EV components towards series productionKnowledge of simulation tools software such as MATLAB, PLECS, LTspiceKnowledge of PCB design software such as AltiumAutomotive experienceFluent English knowledge both in written and spoken formAbility to travel is required
