Job Description

Position Purpose

The Hardware Assembly Hub Supervisor will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the Vision System Assembly Hub. This position be responsible for providing first line operational support through administrating deployment requests and ensure delivery of validated Vision System installations in the region. The incumbent will coordinate and communicate with all stakeholders to ensure on time delivery of pre-configured and validated Vision System systems to the service centers in the region. The Assembly Hub Supervisor will also supervise and direct the work of a team of technicians, providing guidance, coaching, training, and performance feedback to the team.

Scope

The Hardware Assembly Hub Supervisor will be a centralized operation to ensure SVC’s will receive ready configured, tested, and validated Vision System Vision Systems ready to be installed.

This position is to execute all administrative tasks for the Hub and to supervise the technician who does the configuration, testing and validation.

Regional roll outs will require a high number of complete Vision System kits to be assembled, tested, and validated for the respective SVC’s.The complexity of the Vision System requires personnel with skills normally not available at a CHEP SVC’s

Major/Key Accountabilities

Forklift Vision System Design Compatibility Validation: Ensure all Vision System designs are compatible with Forklift Truck (FLT) requirements and standards, maintaining accuracy and compliance throughout the configuration process.Vision System Components Purchase Order (PO) Management: Oversee the procurement and management of Vision System components, ensuring timely and accurate purchase order processing and inventory tracking.Supervision of Complete Vision System Assembly, Testing, and Validation: Lead the supervision of Vision System assembly, ensuring all configurations meet specified standards and that systems are rigorously tested and validated before deployment.Coordination of Parts Deliveries to System Installers: Partners with the logistics team to coordinate parts and components to ensure timely delivery to Vision System installers in the field.Installation and Commissioning Training and Support: Provide training for Vision System installation and commissioning at plants, ensuring teams are fully equipped to handle system setups.Technical Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues related to Vision System installations, troubleshooting and resolving problems as needed.Supervision of Assembly Hub Technicians: Direct and supervise the work of assembly hub technicians, ensuring all tasks related to the assembly, testing, and validation of Vision System assemblies are completed on time and meet quality standards. Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to the team.Operational Support: Offer ongoing operational support to plant teams, ensuring smooth functionality of Vision Systems after installation, including guidance on best practices and system optimization

Will have authority over Vision System Hub location, activities and resources used to test and validate the Vision System vision system.Will have lines of contact to the Hardware and Software development teams for support issues.

Qualifications

Excellent organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detailProven ability to identify, assess and solve problems.Proficient with computer and information technology.Experience Integrating or working with systems that manage or support hardware in the areas of device/part management,Familiarity with applicable health and safety regulation (HSE)Ability to work hands-on to learn to develop new processes

Essential Qualifications

Experience in validation and testing of hardware/equipment.Experience in device configuration and setup.Experience to work with cross functional teams in different time zones.Can assemble, test and validate hardware according to given instructions and develop procedures to be shared with others.Must be willing to travel.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience in process engineering.Knowledge of computer hardware and camera assembly and configurationExperience in managing resources like labor and materials to execute test of validation plans.

Experience

Associate’s degree or Technical Certificate/diploma in Electro Mechanics or equivalent studyPrevious experience validating hardware and processes.Previous supervisory experience.Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to communicate and maintain professional relationships with all levels of an organization, both internal and external.Computer skills using Microsoft Office software. Excel, Word, PowerPoint Outlook
