Within Engineering, the successful candidate will perform Hardware Configuration Management (HCM) tasks including the fundamentals of Configuration Management: identification, change management, status accounting, audit and verification.
Under supervision, the successful candidatewill be responsible for executing Hardware Configuration Management activities per the Configuration Data Management Plan and BAE Systems policies and procedures. The HCM will manage the change process and ensure that all changes go through appropriate change boards. This position also entails:Using software applications to document the configuration status accounting (CSA) data and maintaining the data in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system
+ Identification and establishment of designated baselines and Bills of Material (BOM)
+ Providing support for the establishment of a Configuration Control Board in accordance with project milestones
+ Maintaining a status accounting process, including preparation and maintenance of a Configuration Item Verification Record (CIVR) that reflects current status of the end items for hardware
+ Providing for necessary interface and communication with customers, subcontractors and hardware areas within program groups and the various company functional elements supporting the program group
+ Responsibility for providing hardware metrics
In this role, the HCM will develop proficiency and expertise in the use of PLM and knowledge of BAE Systems procedures. They will stay current with industry standards and technology.

1. Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties set forth in typical job responsibilities listed above.
2. Act as a mentor within the organization on HCM processes and procedures.
3. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
4. Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers;
5. Utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents;
6. Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations;
7. Analyze, evaluate, develop and implement processes and systems within budget and adhere to time requirements and schedule;
8. Design and develop products and services using state-of-the-art technology, principles, theories and concepts.)

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
+ Minimum of 2 years of related experience with BS
+ Strong Microsoft Office Skills
+ US citizen eligible for a DoD security clearance
+ Experience using PLM systems
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Two or more years related experience.
+ Familiarity with SAE ANSI/EIA-649B Configuration Management Standards
+ Experience working with government contracts
+ Direct experience executing Configuration Mgt principles within either a Development or Production type environment.
+ Strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently with little direction
+ Experience with basic computer applications, databases, operating systems, and hardware
+ Active Secret clearance
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $75570 - $128480
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
