We are actively recruiting for a Hardware Design Engineer, Level 2 to support our Engineering Services and Solutions Division, based in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Ideal candidate will have 7 - 11 years of professional experience as a hardware design engineer in integrated circuit or microelectronic component design or reverse engineering of the same is required. FPGA/ASIC knowledge required. Will be responsible for investigating COTS software protocols and adapting them for mission use.

Designs and tests new integrated circuits and hardware components for a wide variety of signal processing applications and research. Designs, documents, and develops code (to include firmware) for digital signal processors or other programmable hardware devices such as Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) and Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) hardware. Analyzes the function of existing integrated circuits and hardware components for the purpose of reverse engineering the hardware and firmware. Conducts the necessary hardware engineering and related functions to modify and adapt vendor-manufactured hardware to meet special Government needs and contingencies.

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university.  Five years of additional hardware design engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Must have a current TS/SCI w/ Polygraph

Pay Range: There are many factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is: $165,698.25 - $189,259.00
