**Job Description**
The Controls and Avionics Solutions (CAS) Hardware Engineering organization is seeking a Hardware Development Lead with Electrical Engineering and/or Firmware design experience to manage the development of our next generation of Electronic Systems at our Endicott, NY location.

This role involves a combination of team leadership responsibilities and independent design work. It will take the form of a hybrid 9/80 work schedule with the requirement to be in-plant more than 50% of the time.

You will be working collaboratively with Project Technical Leads and Program Management to ensure overall program success. In this important leadership role you will effectively communicate program status to internal customers, senior leadership, and the external customer.
In this role, your Responsibilities include:
+ Leading multi-discipline, state-of-the-art hardware teams of 10 to 15 individuals through the hardware engineering design and development
+ Employing your expertise, decision skills, and independent judgment in technical areas
+ Leading critical design review activities for program success
+ Communicating essential information and coordinating with other engineering disciplines, Procurement, Operations, and Program Management
+ Developing program schedules, earned value criteria, and productivity metrics for efficient performance
+ Ensuring the established Hardware Development Process is implemented successfully
+ Supporting important program capture and proposal teams with hardware baselines that include development and cost/scheduling estimating
+ Working with Project Technical Leads to determine program staffing needs and right person/right job
+ Providing inputs on personnel performance
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Candidates must have a BSEE or BS in related field with at least 8 years of experience within hardware engineering.
+ Experienced in hardware engineering leadership of multidiscipline teams, combined with an electrical engineering background focused on analog circuit design, digital circuit design, power electronics, circuit card assembly design, or FPGA design.
+ History of leading the development of mixed signal circuit card designs, which incorporate embedded processors, FPGA's, DDR memory, and high-speed serial interfaces, from requirements through design verification.
+ Experience with requirement development processes and ability to decompose high level customer requirements into lower-level hardware requirements
+ Motivated self-starter with leadership skills, ability to effectively work in a team environment and drive positive change
+ Excellent problem-solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability
+ Experience presenting technical information to program teams and/or peers
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Preferred candidates will have a MSEE or MS in related field with at least 12 years of hardware development experience and 5 years of hardware engineering leadership experience.
+ Technical knowledge of typical aircraft interfaces such as power supplies, transducers, motor drives, digital communication busses and hydraulic actuator control.
+ Familiarity with DO-254, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704 standards.
+ Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and their role in a programs budget and schedule.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $118504 - $201457

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
