Hardware Display Engineer

Contract Position
Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.
Responsibilities:
Design and produce armored combat and support vehicles, developing ruggedized display technologies that enhance military operational capabilities.Design and develop electrical components and subsystems for military-grade display products, including Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and Shop Replaceable Units (SRUs).Lead the design, development, and testing of electronic hardware products, components, and subsystems.Support concept-to-production hardware development, including requirements analysis, electronic design, debugging, testing, and qualification.Develop circuit board specifications, LRU specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and test plans.Oversee component selection, procurement, and prototype hardware builds.Implement engineering design fixes and coordinate solutions.Contribute to advanced technology initiatives, IRADs, proposals, and demonstrators.Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field with relevant experience.Clearance Requirements:
Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance (Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible).Experience Requirements:
3+ years of experience in display design or a related hardware engineering role.Hands-on experience with display technologies (LCD, OLED, LED) and video distribution techniques.Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Familiarity with military standards and test requirements.Experience in display metrology/measurements and LCD backlight design and characterization.Knowledge of touchscreen technology interfaces and LED bezel design.Experience in ruggedizing display LRUs for harsh environments.Familiarity with Head-Mounted Display (HMD) technologies.Ability to use engineering development and test tools.Must meet Anthropometric Size Requirement (ASR) test for confined space work inside military vehicles.Willingness to work occasional evening and weekend overtime as needed.Your Recruiter Still have questions?
