What the role will involve

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

Develop and prototyping of new power and control circuits, including programmable logic devices, or design modification of existing productsProgramming and simulation of logic circuitry in VHDL using XilinxDevelop software for microprocessor-based circuits, including serial communications interfacesGenerate DC schematic diagrams and lay out DC PCBs using AltiumCreation of DC power budgets to track power consumptionDocumentation of product design either directly or through supervision of contractors or drawing office staff as appropriate Perform stress analysis and reliability predictionsQualification testing of new products, including EMI/EMC, etcAbility to deal with customers and present design details during customer reviewsReview project schedules and meet financial and time constraintsParticipate in R&D meetings to evaluate new technical opportunities and contribute to company strategic direction

What you’ll bring

The role of Hardware Engineer requires the following experience and skills:

Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or similar disciplineExperience as a Hardware EngineerExperience in programming and simulation of logic circuitry in VHDL using Xilinx or AlteraKnowledge of Altium with regards to generating DC schematic diagramsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAccuracy, thoroughness, persistence and attention to detail
