Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer III with over 5 years of experience in firmware and data analytics, along with a background in hardware and prototype development. The ideal candidate will be proficient in common programming languages and commands, and will play a crucial role in operating optical hardware prototypes and software tools.
ResponsibilitiesOperate optical hardware prototypes, including PCB boards, electrical flexes, cameras, and LEDs.Utilize existing software tools by running command line scripts and graphical user interfaces, and maintain familiarity with on-demand servers.Perform basic software and hardware troubleshooting, including understanding command line scripts and restarting hardware as needed.Train moderators on the use of prototype devices.Drive to and from vendor sites for weekly checks on prototype devices.Essential SkillsStrong software skills.Experience with hardware prototyping.Basic software and hardware troubleshooting skills.Ability to operate optical hardware prototypes.Familiarity with running command line scripts and graphical user interfaces.Experience with on-demand servers.Software or electrical engineering degree.Additional Skills & QualificationsOptics background.Electrical engineering experience.Hardware test engineering experience.Work Environment
You will be working in a team of about 15 people. The role is very hands-on and requires regular travel to vendor sites for weekly checks on prototype devices.
