About the Role
The Hardware Expert is a member of a global HW development team to realize telematics and connectivity functions in automotive IVI and telematics systems, which includes assessment of requirements and feasibility, definition of suitable concepts, implementation and verification.
Your Team
She/he will be embedded in the Telematics Development Team inside the SBU Connectivity, reporting to the Team Leader Expert Group or/and to Director Hardware Engineering.
What You Will Do:
In principle, development, test and verification of analog, digital and RF circuits for telematics/connectivity functional blocks within complex hardware architectures under considering of new technology, quality, cost and suitability for seriesIntroduction and training into GNSS area with the target of acting as an expert regarding:Development, test and verification of the appropriate analog, digital and RF circuitsSupport in analysis, evaluation and feasibility of customer requirements and special OEM specifications for RFC, RFI, RFQ and CRs , BOM estimates and calculation, effort estimationAssistance/support in the conception, the commercial evaluation and the provision of technical specifications, documentation and presentation material for Telematics- u. Connectivity function blocks and productsAssistance/preparation of the technical requirement specifications of purchased components/modules for usage in telematics/ connectivity functional blocks and in the evaluation and selection of suitable supplierTechnical interface to supplier and customerSupport in defining the technology roadmapIntroduction into other wireless technologies (BT, WIFI, V2X, Mobile Networks, ...) and test equipment regarding defining and performing of active cross functional RF and functional tests under assistance of of the other Wireless ExpertsGlobal cooperation with other departments and other location as system design, Construction, Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement and Software during the development processWhat You Need:
Minimum of bachelor degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or appropriate graduation)Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the HW development, verification and industrialization of In-vehicle Infotainment systems, telematics/connectivity system or other automotive ECUs of similar complexity levelKnowledge in RF design, wireless technologies (mobile/network, positioning) and/or telematics featuresKnowledge of tools for schematic/layout realization and simulation (e.g. Mentor Graphics, SPICE, …) as well as Microsoft applicationsStructured and target orientated working style in an international team environmentExperience in requirements management (e.g. DOORS, DNG, ALM) beneficialStructured and result-oriented working styleAbility of team work with internal/external teamsGood knowledge in spoken and written EnglisWhat is Nice to Have
