Our client in Plano, TX is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** System Engineer
**Location:** Plano, TX
**Pay Range:** $85,000 - $135,000 / yr
**Schedule:** Monday to Friday; 8 am to 5 pm (to be determined but there is some flexibility)
**Job Type:** Contract-to-hire or Direct Hire (Exempt, Full-Time)
**What’s the Job?**
+ System Integration & Testing: Configure, build, and document integrated hardware/software systems. Conduct verification and validation testing to ensure functionality meets customer requirements.
+ Technical Liaison & Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams, customers, partners, and suppliers. Facilitate discussions, coordinate projects, and resolve technical challenges.
+ Production & Automation Support: Work with automation teams to streamline system configurations, controlled images, and scripts. Provide troubleshooting and support for deployment, manufacturing, and production teams.
+ Process Improvement & Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system integration activities, test plans, and engineering changes. Develop work instructions and train production teams on best practices.
+ Branding & Compliance: Ensure branding elements (logos, decals, labels) align with customer requirements. Stay updated on industry trends, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
+ Product Lifecycle Management: Support engineering change processes, analyze hardware end-of-life considerations, and contribute to continuous product development.
**What’s Needed?**
+ Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field with at least 4 years of systems engineering experience preferred. Experience with hardware and server rack builds is **REQUIRED** and **must be clearly indicated on the resume** .
+ Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of computer architectures, hardware components, storage, networking, and industry standards. Experience with Linux, Windows, VMware, and IT rack infrastructure design, including power, networking, cable routing, and weight distribution.
+ Engineering & Process Management:Familiarity with engineering change control processes and system lifecycle management.
+ Problem-Solving & Innovation: Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
+ Communication & Collaboration: Strong ability to build rapport with customers, work cross-functionally, and communicate effectively both written and verbally.
+ Curiosity & Adaptability:Passion for learning and staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
**Preferred Prior Experience:**
+ Proficient in server components and system manufacturing
+ Experience with vendor configuration tools
+ Strong IT or systems background
+ Knowledge of lifecycle management
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Regularly stand, walk, and use hands for object manipulation and tool operation
+ Lift up to 35 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally with assistance
+ Requires close, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
