Volt is immediately hiring a Hardware Technician working onsite with our client in Morton, IL.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

As a Hardware Technician, you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tSupports product development and sustaining engineering activities. This involves test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of electronic products and prototypes. \r\n\tTechnology to be worked on may include analog and/or digital circuits, and test systems.\r\n\tTechnicians work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.\r\n\tPerforms operational test and troubleshooting or fault isolation on systems and equipment.\r\n\tAssists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.\r\n\tAssists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment. Uses manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus. \r\n\tMay be assigned to be a responsible agent for a segment of lab and/or lab tools.\r\n\tProvides technical and support services to departments as assigned. \r\n\tContributes to team goals by providing timely support within the scope of knowledge and area of specialty.\r\n\tEnsures thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures. Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property,\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is a full time, estimated 9 month contingent opportunity.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Qualifications/Requirements:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAssociates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or similar degree, or Technical Certification preferred,\r\n\tIdeally looking for a candidate with 3 years of experience in an Electrical Technician setting.\r\n\tProficient with electronic lab test equipment such as: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, multimeters, environmental test chambers, etc.\r\n\tProficient with electronic assembly and modification such as soldering and working with surface mount technology components at Printed Circuit Board level.\r\n\tHas knowledge of, and skills to perform, product validation testing that can include Environmental tests, Electrical Noise tests, Certification tests and Functional tests\r\n\tProficiency with Microsoft Office (WORD and EXCEL) to provide written product documentation that complies with department and corporate standards for creation, review, archival, and retention.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Pay Rate: $37.00 – $48/hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
