This team works on the Cisco 8000 product line both modular and fixed platforms Who You'll Work With You will work with a diverse group composed of the brightest problem solvers and innovators in the Hardware Development Team located in San Jose. The team is responsible for bring-up and test of Prototype hardware of the next generation of Cisco 8000 products. What You'll Do * Collaborate with Hardware Design and other functional groups to develop bring-up and test plans for Prototype hardware * Execute Bring-up and Test next generation hardware * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Hardware Design, ASIC team, Diags, vendors, and manufacturers * Troubleshoot hardware issues Who You Are You are a self-starter and have a passion for learning technologies as well as troubleshooting and debugging complex hardware & systems. Your good interpersonal skills, critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, coupled with your ability to stay focused while working under pressure, make you an outstanding fit for our team. Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or relevant degree and 2 years of related work experience. * Prior experience with troubleshooting and debugging * Prior experience with fundamental hardware blocks & subsystems * Experience in defining tests, setting up and working with general laboratory tools Preferred Qualifications * Network Communication Equipment knowledge preferred * Experience with reading schematics and PCB layouts * Experience with Microsoft Office * Excellent verbal and written communication skills Why Cisco? #WeAreCisco.
