Hardware Test Engineer
Job Title: R&D Test Engineer

Job Description

The Hardware Test Engineer is focused on developing design verification and production test systems for newly developed products to ensure they meet their performance, quality, and reliability requirements. The position will perform technical, multi-disciplined tasks to improve quality and product performance. This includes activities such as historical data analysis, test design, documentation, and implementation/validation of equipment and process changes.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop design verification and production test systems for new products.Perform historical data analysis to improve product performance.Design and document test systems and processes.Implement and validate equipment and process changes.Develop test stands from scratch with heavy programming in LabVIEW.Test prototypes and interface with products using LabVIEW.Calibrate and test devices for circuit evaluations.Build and troubleshoot code.Essential Skills5+ years experience with test engineering.Proficiency in LabVIEW programming.Experience with firmware and hardware testing.Ability to interface with products and test prototypes.EE background with mechanical tinkering skills preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsLabVIEW certifications such as CLD and CLA are preferred; CLAD is not sufficient.Experience with resistors and capacitors.Programming knowledge in languages such as MATLAB is desired but not required.Knowledge of optical methodology is a plus.Experience with test software like National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00
